 1) List the companies involved in the creation of Black Widow. You may wish to use Black Widow's IMDB entry to help with this but the answers can also be found in the notes above. Disney and marvel to produce black widow.

2) What is conglomerate ownership? The definition is in the notes above. If you can, explain how Black Widow links to conglomerate ownership.

Most major media companies are conglomerates that own a range of smaller companies (called subsidiaries). An example of this is Disney owning Marvel. Another example is Disney owning pixar which makes pixar a conglomerate as it is a small company that's  owned by a major company.

3) Analyse the film trailer for Black Widow. What aspects of the trailer tell you this is a big-budget blockbuster movie?

 I know blockbuster is a big movie because of the unique settings and  astonishing settings. The budget of the movie is extremely high because of the costumes,stunts,green screens and the weapons/materials being used at the scenes.They also used expensive  camera because of the high quality shots.

4) How was Black Widow promoted to an audience? List at least three different methods used by the film's marketing campaign.

• Traditional methods such as posters and teaser trailers on TV and in cinema.
• Stars of the film appeared on a range of TV chat shows and press events. 
• Film trailers were released on YouTube and in cinemas. 

5) What was the production budget for Black Widow and how much did it make at the box office?

The production budget is 200 million dollars and it made  379 at the box office.

 

6) Would you consider Black Widow a successful Hollywood blockbuster? Why? 

I dont consider black widow successful because marvel usually makes ten times the money they used for the movie. The reason for this is because

12A.this is beneficial for the movie as there will be more people watching. The bbfc cut out violent stuff and other things that a 12 year old cant watch but they also let an adult accompany them to be safe. Doing this will get them more views as it reaches a larger audience. 

Look at the Marvel Black Widow website and note down the different promotional devices used. 

They promoted their movie through media and advertised other marvel movies people already knew about so they would more likely to watch it.

They used imax as it fits best with the camera they used to make it and they'll have better experience because  the quality is better and expensive. IMAX screen is more enjoyable than the cinemas and it will show you how the director wanted to it.
